Dr. Dereck Blázquez
Dr. Dereck Blazquez, originally from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, moved to Marietta in 2018 to pursue his dream of becoming a healthcare provider at Life University. A former Division II basketball athlete, Dr. Dereck has always been passionate about movement, performance, and helping people reach their fullest potential. After reading an article about chiropractic in sports—and experiencing care firsthand—he knew this was his calling.
He graduated from Life University in 2022 and quickly gained experience in Upper Cervical care, Diversified adjusting, extremity adjusting, soft tissue work, pediatrics, perinatal care, and sports injury rehab. During his training, he worked with professional basketball players and high school teams, providing mobility, stretching, and soft tissue support to optimize performance and recovery.
Now, as the new owner of Built-In Health Chiropractic, Dr. Dereck is carrying forward the legacy of this practice while shaping its future. His mission is to teach patients that true health is built from within—through proper alignment, movement, nutrition, rest, and lifestyle. Under his leadership, Built-In Health is committed to empowering the community to take action, make lasting changes, and thrive.
Outside the office, Dr. Dereck enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Paola, their Great Dane, Bleu Sofia, and their new baby boy, Atlas. His hobbies include fitness training and lifting, basketball, beach tennis, pickleball, drawing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, chess, and road trips—always embracing the balance of an active and joyful life.
Dr. Robert “Bob” Saxon
Dr. Bob Saxon, an Atlanta native, has been serving the Marietta community for more than 30 years. After graduating with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988, he practiced in Sydney, Australia before returning to Georgia, where he opened his own practice in 1992.
As the former owner, Dr. Bob built a legacy of compassionate, effective chiropractic care. Today, he remains an important part of the team at Built-In Health Chiropractic, continuing to serve patients while guiding and supporting Dr. Dereck in carrying that legacy forward.
Outside the office, Dr. Bob enjoys mountain biking, motorcycling, and fitness—living the same active lifestyle he encourages for his patients.
Dr. Robert “Bobby” Leffew
Dr. Bobby Leffew brings both experience and passion to his work at Built-In Health Chiropractic. A former collegiate athlete, he understands the challenges of recovering from injuries and uses that insight to create personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
With a focus on soft tissue mobilization and functional movement, Dr. Bobby helps patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and stay active—whether they’re athletes or simply looking for everyday relief. His commitment is simple: to help you move and feel your best.
